Cats

Went out for dinner and came across three stray cats.  One young cats walked with a limp, seemed to have been injured by someone.

Yet the three cats are all friendly and snuggly.  Sometimes, that's just like us.

People hurt us but we are forgiving and continue to take care of them and be nice to them.

Sometimes the innocence of the animal kingdom are good reminders of how we should live our lives.

Be nice to others,

Quiet Reflection

Too long have I been away from posting.  Much in life has left me reflecting.  The passing of friends and the anniversaries of the passing of other friends have made me look into my own purpose.

As the new year comes around, I believe that we owe it ourselves and to out loved ones to live a more meaningful life.  It shouldn't be just about the money we earn; it shouldn't be about how devoted we are to our jobs.

I took a walk in the park one morning recently and spent time listening to nature as it grew and died.  We all need to take time off to reflect on our purpose in life here.

A park swan, with its clipped wings, trying to fly off.  How often do we clip our own wings and refuse the opportunity to explore the world around us.

Empty bench in the park.  Oh, to just sit for a moment and watch the world going by.
